Deciding to work with my friend!
This past week, I picked who I wanted to work with. I already had an idea of what I wanted. I had the genre picked out and a vague idea of what I wanted the theme of my film to be. I was talking about my excitement for the class with my friends over a video call and we had an idea. One of my best friends, who is in the same class as me, proposed that we work together. I've known her since freshman year and trust her so much. I thought it was a good idea. Not only will it be fun, but I know we will be productive. I know that she is a very focused student and will work with me, instead of leaving me to work alone. This was a problem that I had last year. In my media AS level class, I decided to pick my group based on fun. Although I knew it wasn't the best option, I didn't fully understand the extent of the work we were going to be. This was not a good idea because it ended up costing me in the long run. Although we had fun in class, after school, I was pretty much left alone to do almost everything except filming. It ended up being very frustrating and it took the passion that I previously had out of my work. I am grateful for being able to work with Amy because we have similar interests, but different strengths. While I'm more creative than she is, she's great with a lot of other things. Her problem-solving skills are something that I can see being very useful throughout this project. As for what my film is about, you'll have to wait and see! Until then, I'll keep you updated throughout my steps to a final piece.
